Agenda:
1. Outreach to MLS staff progress
2. RETS in a box project
3. Response to Blog entry found by Brian Bell
Notes:
At the current moment, we will continue to make this group aware of any internet postings concerning RETS that may present challenges and opportunities to address education issues. But we will not be publically responding to these postings.
Brian Bell and Seth will work on the RETS in a box project between now and the next meeting.
Mentioned that the April Meeting may be moved to conincide with Connections. Discussing freshening up the New to RETS presentation, and modifying the "RETS persepectives" to being more of a showcase of actual RETS uses in the marketplace. And this will be in addition to the RETS exhibition.
Discuss whether to run a RETS lab for hands on access. But discussed some way to show it in a slide show. Decided to keep it high level, business benefits focused.
Awaiting BOD to nail down a date for April. Group must come up with RETS product demos.
Letter to MLS execs via email to educate them on RETS and the RETS Education workgroup as a resource for their use.
Reviewing the action items from last meeting:
1. Kristen and David will develop a reporting template for all WGs to Education.
Kristen posted an email to all the chairs that entails the reporting requirements
2. set up education@rets.org to go to gmail account and then forward to the GG email address.
David is very close to making this automated. David has to approve messages right now, which may not be a bad thing.
3. Kristen volunteered to write the take away document for the business sessions for April
Kristen will revisit her document from August.
4. Kristen will write an email to send to Vendors to send to user groups.
5. Have a volunteer be a liason for each of the other WGs by next call
(tabled until we start getting reports)
